Erich and his smooth voice joins me once again as we discuss this comedy take on the classic horror plot of folks stuck in some old backwater town with its homicidal residents. Usually it’s someone passing through, probably from the “big city”, who crosses the local yokels somehow (think Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wrong Turn, The Hills Have Eyes, Welcome to Woop Woop). And here, our city folk are played by Chevy Chase & Demi Moore, with the bumpkins played by Dan Aykroyd (twice) and John Candy (also twice). Hardly anyone is likable in this PG-13 horror send-up.
